Kawambwa, Zambia – 04th August, 2026 – Ballot papers for the 2026 General Elections have arrived safely in Kawambwa District.
The ballot papers for Kawambwa, Pambashe and Luongo Constituencies arrived this afternoon at approximately 12:10 hours under escort by the Zambia Police Service.
Upon arrival, the ballot papers were officially received by Kawambwa District Electoral Officer, Mr George Biemba, in the presence of representatives of participating political parties, Civil Society Organizations, Faith-Based Organizations and other accredited electoral stakeholders, who witnessed the delivery process.
The District Electoral Officer assured stakeholders that the ballot papers will remain securely stored at the Kawambwa Civic Centre under 24-hour security provided by the Zambia Police Service until they are dispatched for polling.
He reaffirmed the Electoral Commission of Zambia’s commitment to ensuring the security, integrity and transparency of the electoral process.
