Led by Director Mr. Nkhoma Brian, the Engineering department at Kawambwa Town Council spearheads works and developmental projects, delivering sustainable infrastructure and top-notch engineering services to the community.
Engineering services include; construction of feeder roads, borehole drilling, inspection of buildings, scrutinizing building plans making sure they meet all the required standard, fire brigade services, maintenance of machinery.
All these services are aimed at stimulating socio-economic growth, particularly in the identified sectors of the district such as construction of quality roads, streetlights, drainages, and building structures.

The Engineering and Fire Services Department is actively supervising and monitoring ongoing construction projects aimed at enhancing healthcare infrastructure and sanitation facilities. These projects are funded under the 2024 and 2025 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) and include:
