The Legal department at Kawambwa Town Council deals with all legal matters and is responsible for ensuring that legal issues and interest of the council are taken care of.
It provides legal consultation, advice to both the Local Authority and members of the general public.
It also reveals the law, rules and contract agreements granted by other departments in the council.
The department supports governance, public information, and transparency, while also mitigating legal risks. Overall, it ensures the local authority operates within the law and protects its legal interests procedures, conveyancing and issue of and registration of legal instruments.
