• Drug Availability: High at 80-85%, supported through supplies from ZAMMSA & local procurement mechanisms.

• Intensified Detection Strategies: Implemented during this period targeting health facilities, communities, & the Correctional facility.

• Achievements:
  • 164 TB cases recorded against an annual  target of 399 (41.1% achievement).

• Challenges: 
  • Limited logistical support for outreach activities & inadequate TB screening materials at some screening points.
• CARE & STANDARDS
  • The Nursing Unit under care and standards conducted supervisory visits to 34 health facilities across Kawambwa District.
  • A total of 20 peer educators from Munkanta RHC & Kawambwa Central Clinic were trained in adolescent SRH, pychosocial counseling, HIV testing, mental health integration, substance abuse prevention, and referral systems during the 5 days training from 16th March – 20th March, 2026. 

• MATERNAL & CHILD HEALTH
  • The district achieved fully immunized child coverage above national targets & recorded zero maternal deaths during the period under review.
  • CeMONC services were expanded following the operationalization of Ntulo mini Hospital.

• Keep Zambia Clean, Green & Healthy Campaigns: Sustained community involvement and sensitization.

• Vegetation Control: Conducted at cemeteries.
• Community Aerobics: Promoted for healthier lifestyles. 
  • INSPECTION & REGULATORY

• Food Safety: Confiscated unsafe food products during inspections.
  • Waste Management

• Routine Waste Collection: The department collected an estimate of 720 tonnes of waste within the district.
• Waste collection services were further extended to Nava Avocado Limited under a monthly subscription routine per collection.
